What on Earth!

Plan(et) B? With courage and confidence, the inn.wien collective addresses what is probably the biggest question of life: Can we save the Earth together? Eleven musicians explore possible paths into the future with music for classical string orchestra and contemporary compositions in their repertoire. One thing is certain: no one is too young to stand up for what they believe in! The Alte Oper has invited the Austrian ensemble, founded in 2020, especially for primary school classes. In their scenic concert, the young musicians* move from Vivaldi to Grieg to the present day, bringing one of the most important topics of our time to the stage with poetic means.

As “Ensemble in Residence” of the Verbier UNLTD Festival (Unlimited; for the promotion of innovative concert formats), the musicians of the ensemble will not only perform with their production “What on Earth!”, but are also part of the Academy, attend workshops and master classes for the further education and development of the collective and will even lead a workshop on creative work as independent musicians themselves.
