THOSE WE LOST – Matteo Haitzmann

In times of global epidemics, certain social groups are repeatedly stigmatized. One-sided reporting and incitement fuel hatred, exclusion, and prejudice against the “Others”. Inspired by Gideon Mendel’s photo book “The Ward”, Matteo Haitzmann’s THOSE WE LOST explores the survival strategies of the LGBTIQ movement in the 80s and 90s in light of the then rampant AIDS crisis.

In celebration of Pride Month, the live performance of “Those We Lost” will be further enhanced by a string quartet from the inn.wien ensemble.
