Festival Opening Wellenklænge Feat. Anna Mabo & Jazz Trio Drehwerk

“Fine, thank you,” is often our answer when asked how we are. Even when it’s not entirely sincere, when we simply don’t want to burden the other person with the honest answer. Sometimes also because trust is lacking. In Anna Mabo’s case, DANKE GUT is the title of an album. It is about shy sailors, death-longing Pyrenees tourists, and neighbors who would also appreciate receiving a package. It is an album full of doubt and full of hope. Because even if no one believes in themselves, but everyone believes in each other, then in the end, everyone is believed in. The album was recorded for the first time as a trio. In addition to cellist Clemens Sainitzer, drummer Alexander Yannilos is also on board. At Wellenklænge, Anna Mabo and inn.wien x Drehwerk performed together on stage for the first time and presented the opening concert.
